(ROLE AND RESPOSIBILITY)

I was tasked with conducting the groundwork for revamping our existing design system.

During this process, I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers.

PROJECT PHASES

(RESEARCH & AUDIT)

Conducted a thorough audit of the existing design system.
Gathered feedback from stakeholders, including designers, developers, and end-users.

Accessibility Considerations: Ensured that components adhered to accessibility standards.
Component Inventory: Curated an exhaustive inventory of existing components (buttons, forms, typography, etc.).
Streamlined Components: Consolidated redundant components, eliminated inconsistencies and created new components to address gaps.

(DESIGN ITERATIONS)

Iterative Refinement: Incorporated feedback and iterated on designs.

(SETTING GUIDELINES)

Establishing clear and comprehensive principles, patterns, and best practices to ensure coherence, scalability, and effectiveness within the design system.

(LOGIC DOCUMENTATION FOR DEVELOPERS)

Creating thorough documentation outlining component logic, usage instructions, and edge cases, facilitating seamless integration within the design system.
